Brief Introduction 


Indus Foundation for Human Development (IFHD) is a civic society organization working in different fields of human development. Established in 1993 IFHD is registered with Govt. of the Punjab and Intellectual Property Organization (IPO), Govt. of Pakistan. The Foundation strives for improving the educational, health and socio-economic status of people by empowering them with quality training and research facilities.


Established by a group of committed philanthropists IFHD works in collaboration with public & private institutions, CSOs, INGOs and donors working on the similar mandate. Indus Foundation possesses academic, research and professional expertise in the areas of training need assessment, project development, heritage & resource conservation, financial management, monitoring & evaluation, institutional development and sustainable development.


          The Foundation also organizes long term capacity enhancement activities in the fields of teacher education, climate change, community development & mobilization, institutional development, youth development and sustainable development education.


          Quaid College of Commerce, Indus Foundation Schools, Quaid COMSIT, Quiad College of Management & Technology, Indus School of Nature & Development and Shan Arts Concern are major institutions owned and operated by Indus Foundation.


Indus Foundation is also running its flagship projects like Faculty Development Program (Phase-II), Green Teacher Initiative-III, Community Health & Awareness Project, Cultural Heritage Research Initiative (CHRI), Indus Youth Development Program and Grand Learning Expedition (GLE).


Indus Foundation operates nationally in collaboration with its partners around the country. It has a strong network of organizations in Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir ICT and Federally Administrative Areas. It enables IFHD to carry out extensive research/field work, community development, capacity building and project management actives.
